Computer Mouse Help is one of the key phrases that appears in results for the search term “mouse help”, so I’m going to included it here, as a reminder to add that to my keywords list.
OK, so I started this a couple of weeks ago, now. It’s time to get some help from the big guns. The search term; “mousy search terms” was very easy to capture, since it has almost no competition. I just did a search for that term and if you put it in quotes, my web content is the only thing on Google’s page one!
The two other search terms were chosen for their popularity (which means heavy competition) on the web. This means we will have to work a lot harder to rise to the top of search results for these terms: “help me with my mouse” and “mouse help”. Google shows “About 8,690,000 results” for “help me with my mouse” and only “About 61,600 results” for “mouse help” – when I search for those terms with quotes. Without quotes, we get: “About 645,000,000 results” and “About 724,000,000 results”, respectively. Are we learning something about quoted search phrases?
Well, yes, that’s how you make your search specific to a string of words.
OK, now on to the plan. I’m going to use my other blog content to feed the spiders. Someday, I may actually find a way to count how many blog posts and web pages I have out there. Suffice it to say, it’s a lot of stuff. If I put a paragraph on many of those pages, telling the search engines that these terms are discussed on mousehelp.org, will that accelerate our progress here?
We shall soon see. Last time I did this, it took only several days to dominate search results for “Palm Desert SEO Expert” and “Coachella Valley SEO Expert”.
Google has gotten so tired of showing all of my results, they now display this paragraph at the end of the first page: (kind of funny, if you ask me….)
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 7 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.
