Mouse Help Rising

Did you know that “Mr. Mojo Risin” was an anagram for Jim Morrison? I learned that recently.

Maybe I can come up with a clever anagram for Mouse Help Rising…. As it is, if you search for “mouse help”, my links are now on page one of Google, under Apple and Microsoft, in positions three and four of the organic search results. This is not bad company for someone who just eight weeks ago decided to do this experiment.

One question, suitable for another blog post:
Does anyone really pay attention to favicons?
I do, but I’m that way. It takes a bit of effort, but I think it is worth it, to have my little mouse image next to my company name on the tab of my website.

See how LinkedIn, Google and Moushelp are all represented by their respective images?

favicons

See how boring it can be without one? Again, I’ll say – maybe it’s just me!

That’s all I’m trying to say…

Making Sauce More Secret

I’m working on a subscription-based website, where I plan to publish the best of what works with organic SEO. Most of that content will come from the experience we’ve shared here.

Remember, this is an experiment, so, thanks for participating with me. If I were a scientist, I suppose I should have proposed some theory to prove, so we could all marvel at the results produced.

It matters very little, I think, that this was not done so formally. In the end, if you search for Mouse Help, or Mousy Search Terms, and find links to these pages on the first page of the SERPs, we’ve proven something!

That’s all I’m trying to say.

Palm Desert SEO is the search term I hope you will use to find my service.

Secret Sauce – Mouse Help

This is the term I used to describe what SEO means in plain English.

I said, “SEO is the secret sauce that feeds Google” and I meant to say that all search engines probably get the same serving. But, I tend to focus on Google, since I am a customer.

Feed The Spiders

Think of the search engines as spiders. They crawl the web at night, learning all they can about websites and web pages out there and how they can serve them up to their hungry babies (that means you, when you search). A search engine returns results for search terms, like:
